For
more tech and comfort features, simply work your way up the trim ladder until
you find the perfect fit. Be sure to keep an eye out for 2021 limited edition
trims like the Renegade Jeepster, Upland, Islander, and 80th Anniversary trims.
Each of these limited-edition Renegades has a special package and color scheme
for added style and customization. Hidden in these trims are some subtle design
differences between the special editions that pay tribute to previous Jeep
releases.
Last
but certainly not least is the Renegade trim that is built for back roads, the
2021 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. In addition to tasteful styling accents, the
Trailhawk trim has Jeep's off-road package that includes features like a
special Selec-Terrain system, two front tow hooks, a front suspension skid
plate, and more!
The 2021 Jeep Renegade's Powertrains and
Capability
The
2021 Jeep Renegade offers two engine options. The standard powertrain for the
Renegade is Jeep's 2.4L I4 Zero Evap M-Air Engine. This four-cylinder engine
has 184 horsepower and is a relatively fuel-efficient option with an EPA
estimated 30 MPG on the highway and 22 MPG in the city. The second powertrain
available for the Renegade is a 1.3L I4 Turbo MAir DI Engine w/ESS. For the
upgraded turbo powertrain, Renegade owners will have to opt for the Limited or
Trailhawk trims that carry the engine standard or upgrade the powertrain of
their Latitude or 80th Anniversary trims. While the turbo offers less
horsepower (177), it comes with more torque, making it much more capable in
off-road scenarios.
