The Chevrolet 2500HD offers both a gas and diesel-powered engine. The gas engine is a 6.0L Vortec V8 that produces 360 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine is a 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8 that generates 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque, and is mated to a 6-speed Allison transmission.   

Ram 2500 offers two engines, as well, a 6.4L Hemi V8 gas-powered engine and a 6.7 Cummins inline 6-cylinder turbo diesel. Paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the 6.4L Hemi V8 engine produces 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque.   

The Ram 2500 Hemi V8 gas engine outpowers the weaker Chevy 2500HD Vortec gas engine by a full 50 horsepower and 49 lb-ft of torque. It also tows more. Much more!
